Lessons are held weekly (30 mins) on weekday afternoons, 2-9pm. Some teachers may have weekend availability. Private lessons are $55 per half hour for all instruments. Drum lessons are $65 per half hour.

Private lessons are available for students ages 4-18 or roughly grades K-12. We encourage adults to check out TDaveDrums for drum lessons!

Yes! We encourage students to maintain lessons in order to continuously elevate their playing while growing in a band setting. Current Band Factory students will receive a $20 discount for each group lesson (SGJ/ADP) while taking lessons with us.

Multiple Student Discount: There is a $5 discount per lesson for each sibling enrolled after the first for families that wish to sign up multiple kids.

Small Group Jams (SGJ)
A welcoming weekly rehearsal program for musicians who are ready to begin playing with others in a band setting. Students build confidence, develop listening, collaboration, and ensemble skills in a supportive environment.
Public Enrollment: $55/week

Artist Development Program (ADP)
Our premier band experience for advanced and highly committed musicians. Students rehearse in carefully matched bands while performing live, recording music, writing original songs, and developing the skills needed to thrive on stage and beyond.Public Enrollment: $75/week

How do you create the bands?
We thoughtfully place students into bands based on a combination of age, musical experience, skill level, instrument, musical interests, personality, and weekly availability. Our goal is to create groups where students are well matched, feel comfortable, and can grow together over time.
Current Band Factory students are placed through faculty recommendation, while public applicants complete our audition and placement process to help us build the best possible bands.

Yes. We encourage students to continue taking private lessons while participating in one of our band programs, as the combination of individual instruction and ensemble experience provides the greatest opportunity for musical growth.
Current Band Factory private lesson students receive discounted tuition on both Small Group Jams and the Artist Development Program.
We also offer a $5 discount on weekly private lessons for each additional sibling enrolled after the first.

Absolutely. Students do not need to take private lessons at The Band Factory to participate in either Small Group Jams or the Artist Development Program. Musicians taking lessons elsewhere—or those not currently taking lessons at all—are welcome to apply through our audition and placement process.
While private lessons are not required, we strongly encourage every student to continue developing their individual skills through weekly instruction, whether at The Band Factory or another qualified music school or private instructor. Combining private lessons with ensemble experience provides the greatest opportunity for long-term musical growth and success.

Not necessarily. We welcome musicians with a wide range of experience and carefully place students into programs that best match their current ability and goals.
Small Group Jams is designed for students who are ready to begin playing with others in a supportive ensemble environment, while the Artist Development Program is intended for more experienced musicians seeking a higher level of collaboration and artistic growth.
Every applicant completes our audition and placement process, allowing our faculty to recommend the program that will provide the most enjoyable and successful experience.
BAND PROGRAMS

Getting started is easy. Simply submit an Artist Development Program Inquiry through our website. After we receive your inquiry, we'll email you an Audition Request Form along with our Audition & Placement Guide, which explains everything you'll need to know before submitting your audition.
Once we receive your completed audition form and video, our faculty will carefully review your submission to determine whether the Artist Development Program is the right fit for your current level and goals. If another program would provide a better experience, we'll let you know and discuss the best placement options with you.
There is no fee to audition.

Auditioning does not guarantee immediate placement into a band. Students are accepted into our placement pool and are matched based on factors such as age, skill level, musical interests, personality, instrument needs, and scheduling compatibility.
Our goal is to build bands that have the greatest chance of long-term success rather than rushing students into groups that may not be the right fit.

Every student is different. Some musicians may be placed quickly, while others may remain in our placement pool until a suitable band opportunity becomes available.
Because we carefully consider age, skill level, musical interests, instrumentation, and scheduling availability, placement timelines can vary significantly.

Students may be placed into Small Group Jams (SGJ) if our faculty believes it is the best fit for their current skill level and development. Placement into SGJ is not a rejection. It is a recommendation designed to help students build the skills necessary to thrive in a band environment and potentially advance into ADP in the future.

Live performance opportunities are a central part of the Artist Development Program experience. Students work toward performances throughout the year while developing confidence, stage presence, and professionalism.

The Artist Development Program is designed as an ongoing band experience rather than a fixed-length course. Students begin by learning how to rehearse, communicate, and perform together as a team. As bands continue to develop, they may explore advanced performance opportunities, original songwriting, professional recording projects, and promotional content creation. Every band progresses at its own pace, creating a unique experience for each group.
