At The Band Factory, we’re passionate about guiding kids from their very first note to their moment in the spotlight. Our unique program combines hands-on music lessons with real band experience, helping young musicians find their sound, build confidence, and express themselves.
OUR STORY
We believe kids deserve more options for creative, social activities beyond the traditional focus on sports. In a world where arts programs are shrinking, we offer a different kind of team experience. We wanted to bring this program to our community because we believe in the extraordinary benefits that being in a band can bring to kids' lives. In a band, you’re actually picking up social and teamwork skills effortlessly, all while forming unique bonds with people who have similar interests and a shared love of music. Besides the positive social impact it offers, the musical benefits are numerous and essential to playing an instrument. A firm understanding of your instrument's role in a band at an early age is fundamental to musical growth. Our goal is to form bands and friendships for kids that will last. By making sure each band is of equal age and skill level, we give our students the best possible introduction to the world of music. In a band, every player’s voice is heard, every contribution is vital, and no one sits on the sidelines.
MEET TYLER
Tyler Davis is a professional drummer and music educator with over 25 years of experience. Tyler combines his deep passion for music with his dedication to teaching, helping young musicians find their rhythm and confidence. For the past decade, he has been a driving force behind his funk fusion band SixFoxWhiskey, releasing three studio albums and performing alongside notable acts like Fuel, Nate Smith, and Ripe. Tyler’s extensive experience on stage and in the studio, coupled with his commitment to nurturing talent, makes him a dynamic leader in the local music community.
LESSONS
We offer a comprehensive approach to learning through our “foundational skills” method of teaching. Our students steadily conquer major milestones on their instrument as they progress through each level. Students will engage in personalized yet structured lessons that build a solid foundation of their instrument enabling them to understand the principles behind the music they play. Our experienced instructors focus on developing technical skills and refining techniques, ensuring that students progress steadily and confidently.
BUILD A BAND
Want to be in a band but don’t know where to start? We get it. It’s always hard asking someone to join a band. Whether you’re a mirror singer or a basement maestro, it doesn’t matter; we’ll find you bandmates of equal skill, age, and musical interests.
Next, you’ll learn the art of teamwork and collaboration while discovering your newly formed sound through weekly rehearsals with your band. Your band will experience the excitement of a live performance on stage and record your songs at a professional recording studio!
Each band is designed to nurture creativity, allow musical ideas to flourish, and forge new friendships that will truly last a lifetime.
